Further protection for vulnerable agency workers announced

The most vulnerable agency workers will be afforded greater protection as part of Government plans to tighten up rules and target rogue agencies.

The changes to regulations are being debated as part of plans to amend regulations governing employment agencies and set out stronger measures to protect workers from abuses and unfair treatment.

Pat McFadden, Minister of State for Employment Relations, says:
