Over the past year one in ten employers surveyed has withdrawn a job offer because an applicant has lied, or misrepresented their health situation on a health screening questionnaire. And in the past year, nearly 7% have dismissed someone after their employment commenced for the same reason. The findings come from a special report on ‘Employing people with mental health problems’ contained in the latest CIPD/KPMG Quarterly Labour Market Outlook survey.
