Speaking at a work/life balance conference in London, TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber has dismissed claims from some employers that there is no need to extend rights on flexible working.
The issue of work-life balance was in the spotlight following government proposals to extend the right to request flexible working to all parents with school-age children, announced during the Queen’s Spech.
