Hairdresser sued for rejecting Muslim job applicant

A hairdresser for is being sued for religious discrimination after rejecting a job application from a devout Muslim because she insisted on wearing her headscarf, which she said was essential to her beliefs.

Hairdresser Sarah Desrosiers is being sued for more than £15,000 by Bushra Noah for injury to her feelings - plus an unspecified sum for lost earnings. Desrosiers says she faces financial ruin if she loses the case.
