The Government has announced plans for employees to be compelled to enrol in a pension savings scheme - and for their employers to contribute towards it.
The pensions will be administered through a qualifying workplace scheme or one of the new ‘personal accounts’. It would mean that eligible workers are automatically enrolled into a pension scheme, with a minimum employer contribution introduced.
