There are a variety of reasons why an HSE Inspector may call upon an employer but it will usually be for one of the following reasons:
- a routine inspection;
- an accident may have occurred or been notified to the HSE either by you in a Report of an Injury, Disease or Dangerous Occurrence Form (RIDDOR) or by another means; or
- there may have been a complaint about the company.
