Law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (Freshfields) has won its high profile age discrimination case against former partner Peter Bloxham.
The Tribunal found that Freshfields was discriminatory on the grounds of age when the new pension scheme was introduced; however, it also found that this discrimination was justified because it was proved to be a proportionate means of achieving its ultimate aim, which was the reform of the firm’s pension system.
