An Asian police officer who was turned down for promotion has today won a claim that he was victimised when he failed to gain promotion because of previous unfounded accusations that he sent racist emails.
An Employment Tribunal in Kingsway, London, ruled that Detective Inspector Verdi had been “treated less favourably” when promotion was decided by a panel because of his history with the Metropolitan Police Force.
