Industrial action is high on the news agenda at the moment. If it isn’t Royal Mail workers carrying out union-organised action (with strikes taking place in June and July, two 48-hour strikes taking place currently and more strikes planned for later in October) it is prison guards taking wildcat strike action, leading some commentators to murmur about an "autumn of discontent".
