An explosion at a British-owned arms and ammunition factory near Rome has killed an Italian worker and injured at least 14 others, some seriously.
The blast, which was heard several kilometres away, took place at 10am at the Simmel Difesa (Simmel Defence) factory at Colleferro, 60km (38 miles) southeast of Rome. Police said that the cause of the explosion was not yet clear.
