A bill to help disabled employees will have to be re-introduced in November due to rumours of a General Election.
The Employment Retention Bill 2007 seeks to create a statutory right to rehabilitation leave for newly disabled people and people whose existing impairments change by adding new parts to the Employment Rights Act 1996.
The Bill was originally introduced by John Robertson MP (Lab, Glasgow North West) with the support of David Blunkett MP and had got to its second Commons reading.... (414 more words)
