One of Scotland’s biggest ever Employment Tribunals starts today (8 October). Catering and drilling staff from a North Sea oil rig are disputing paid holiday time, claiming that their employers are breaching the European Working Time Directive.
The Offshore contractors association (OCA) is being taken to the tribunal because staff believe that it is illegal for the company to offer no further leave above the traditional two weeks on, two weeks off rotation policy that currently exists... (301 more words)
