The strike that has disrupted postal services is set to escalate after talks broke down last night, possibly igniting Britain's most serious industrial dispute for 20 years.
Up to 130,000 union members remain on strike, while Adam Crozier, the Royal Mail's chief executive, today traded accusations with union officials.
