Fire doors are an important component of any building. However, their full potential can only be achieved by correct selection and careful maintenance.

This white paper explains how fire doors should be maintained, and also includes information on:

  •  passive fire protection;
  • where fire doors are required;
  • fire door ratings;
  • egress and impaired mobility;
  • the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005; and
  • risk assessments.
