Transport Secretary Ruth Kelly has told the Forum of Private Business (FPB) that the Government has ‘no current commitment’ to introduce congestion charges across the UK. The FPB is concerned that, while larger firms could absorb the costs of road pricing, smaller businesses would be forced to increase their prices and would become less competitive as a result.
