A Heathrow airport worker has been dismissed from her job after refusing to take out a nose stud when asked to by her manager.
Amrit Lalji, 40, who works for caterers Eurest at the international airport, said she wore the tiny piercing as a mark of her Hindu faith.
After being allowed to wear the stud for a year, a manger complained and she was told to remove it. She refused and told her employers she wouldn’t return to work.
