Is new age discrimination legislation illegal?

A significant challenge to recent age discrimination legislation is being played out in the High Court today. Retirement lobby group Heyday is taking the Government to court over the issue of Mandatory Retirement Ages (MRAs) , part of the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006 that came into force on 1 October.
