Two UK plastics companies found out this week the cost of the accident at the Stockline plastics plant in Glasgow in 2004, which caused the deaths of nine employees and injured more than 30 others. A £400,000 fine was imposed on ICL Plastics and ICL Tech following a two-day hearing at the High Court in Glasgow, during which the operators had pleaded guilty to health and safety breaches.
