Workplace Law provide a management referral service through our associate Occupational Health Service provider. This enables our clients to gain an understanding on several areas including, but not limited to: 

  • long-term sickness absence;
  • recurrent short-term sickness absence;
  • concerns regarding work performance and fitness for those duties;
  • assessment following an accident within the workplace; and
  • alcohol and drug related problems.

As part of the service provision, our service provider also sources and facilitates specialist assessment and support including: 

  • cognitive behavioural therapy;
  • physiotherapy;
  • independent medical opinion in a specialist field; and
  • counselling.

Assessments can be undertaken via the phone, through correspondence with the employee’s GP / specialist, or as a physical examination. The nature of the assessment will be appropriate to your business needs.

Once medical consent has been received, Workplace Law will work with you and our OH service provider to understand the potential medical factors involved within each individual case and also derive the most appropriate, pragmatic and risk-free solutions.

Our consultants will support your business to implement the chosen option, including supporting letters and other documentation.

Our OH provider can undertake medical assessments anywhere in the UK, thereby providing national coverage for an increasingly important facility.
