Resourcing Talent is a two-day classroom course, with an element of e-learning. It is a CIPD accredited module which provides an in-depth understanding of the critical elements of attracting and recruiting the best person for each role, starting with the concept of employer branding and how this impacts the attractiveness of the company to potential employees and the satisfaction of new and existing employees.

Other topics include:

  • staff turnover;
  • succession planning;
  • the recruitment and selection process and how each element contributes to its effectiveness;
  • the benefits of diversity and the importance of the job description and person specification in the recruitment decision and in challenging claims of discrimination; and
  • effective interview techniques and the role of induction as the final part of the process to ensure a new employee becomes effective as quickly as possible.

At the end of the course students will be assessed on their ability to conduct a recruitment and selection interview.

Completing this course will give students six credits towards completing their Certificate in HR Practice or Diploma in HR Practice or Certificate in Learning and Development Practice or an Award if completed on its own.
