IOSH has launched a new online quiz to help challenge and change perceptions of health and safety. The ‘Save a million’ quiz is designed to help members get a more positive, finance focused message across. It’s directly related to the key message of IOSH’s Li£e Savings campaign: good health and safety management can save money as well as lives.

Said Caroline Patel, Head of Campaigns at IOSH:

“It’s all about turning age-old – often negative – perceptions around.

“The interactive quiz can be used as an ‘ice breaker’ at the start of a meeting or pitch, to make the point in a light-hearted way during a training session, or to get senior managers thinking differently about the issues at the start of a business case presentation.”

The quiz consists of six questions which cover topics from how much accidents and ill health cost the UK economy to how many new health and safety laws have been introduced in the last decade.

The ‘Save a million’ quiz can be assessed on the resources page of the Li£e Savings micro site.

The quiz comes with a guide giving full instructions, the answers to the questions, and a brief background to each answer.
