I'd be interested to hear other members' experiences of implementing green, or greener (!) travel policies.
As part of Sustainable Workplaces Week, Workplace Law has committed to addressing some of its own practices and has begun to look at how people travel to work, and whether there are any improvements we can make.
We have limited parking at our premises anyway, so to this extent some staff are forced to consider other ways of getting to work. There are those that already car share, a number of people who cycle and who get the train each day. Some staff, however, drive to the train station and then travel by train from there. We are fortunate to have our offices located right next door to the train station.
There are others who live much closer by but who still insist on bringing the car to work each day.
I'd like to hear from anyone who has successfully managed to encourage staff to leave their cars behind ... How have you made it work for you?
