thank you for that. obviously that is correct what is not correct is that there is no reason stated on the letter given to my daughter. At the same time the company she works with made two people redundant. Thank you

can anyone tell me if an extension of a probationary period for no apparent reason is legal and if it is can anyone quote the law please?

In my opinion there should have been a hot works permit before the work commences as is general practice in these situations.

I think that I totally agree on paying attention to how the wording is put. Having experience is one thing whilst having certificates etc is another. Having both experience and qualifications makes a whole person, so I would think the word competency has a lot of weighting here
