First of I have no problems with disabled bays, not being disabled myself I hope I never have to use them. However I have just returned from a shopping centre in Kent where I found a complete car parking level set aside for mums and kids. I found that very annoying. Again I have no problems with some bays, but not over 50. By the way I have had children.

In their statement the MCA said it was looking to their volunteers to make risk assessments. Paul Waugh carried out a risk assessment and in his opinion the girl was at serious risk of dying from a fall. All I can say thank god it was him who turned up at the rescue and he had the foresight to see what was happening. If I or any of my family were in trouble I hope and pray that someone like Mr Waugh turns up to help. I wonder how the MCA would have justified their actions if this young girl had fallen and died.

Yet another smack in the mouth for workers in this country. It is about time this government started living in the real world and put workers rights 1st.

My son who is 16 started a seasonal job in April. He worked for a company called Bourne Leisure. They own Haven, Butlins etc. In the month of June he won staff member of the month. He then got a new manager who bullied him and verbally abused him. We complained which was to no avail. My son had no employment rights because he hadn't worked for the company long enough, so we couldn't take any legal. We are in favour of new laws that would give the same rights to ALL workers no matter how long they have worked for a company.

I have just finished a seasonal contract working for a holiday company near where I live. I worked with a number of Polish workers who I found very hard working. The company paid the Poles and British workers the minimun wage, however they liked employing the Poles because they didn't know their rights in British law. So the company really took advantage of them, bullying them etc. I really feel sorry for our Polish friends. The Poles are good for this country, don't abuse them.

As a retired Metropolitan police officer, I say to Mr Weaver "well done" for your victory. He has over 30 years of valuable experience which is sadly lacking in all police forces. He should not be dumped. I am annoyed that he had to take this action against his force.
