Martin,
When that "another" does not like you and has the power to make your life miserable through a complaint to HR about respect in the workplace.

Political correctness operating here but only in the sense that it took six weeks for her to be dismissed. It would have been the next day for a male nurse.

A country has the right to maintain its identity ... let the flame wars begin ...

Didn't G and S have something to say on this a 100 years ago? Something about killing one's parents and then pleading for compassion that one was an orphan?

Many years ago I taught a course in basic electricity to a group of metal shop workers from a large factory down the road. The company wanted them trained to handle all the new electronics coming into their rather heavy product. At the end of the first class I handed out an assignment sheet of exercises which would have taken them about one hour to do. The shop steward firmly objected to the homework on the grounds that other workers back at the plant didn't have to take unfinished parts home and work on them. Not surprisingly, in the last twenty years that factory's performance has been less than stellar.

Nigel,
You may have a very good point but unless it is written in coherent English then unfortunately it is of no value. For some reason which I cannot fathom we seem to have reached a point where reading our missives before mailing is a lost art.

Didn't a senior BA vp label the flight attendants as Trolly Dollies? Not much respect there.

In coming years this will become more of an issue and they had better get their ducks in a row by putting together a policy on all types of abuse. With no policy they have adopted a head in the sand approach and this could cost them their behinds.

There go my toy soldiers ... ahhh ... they promote violence in children anyway. When I worked with nukes everything was lead bricks and duct tape. ... greatest danger was smashed toes.

For the most part, too much food in and not enough work out results in storage.

Too much storage results in noticeable obesity.

Obesity is really annoying when it is next to you on a tiny aircraft seat.

Fatty's rights end where mine begin.

Oh, to live in Utopia, now that Erewhon is here. How much does this Austin twit get for making these pronouncements?

A long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away .....

As usual, we finally get around around to investigating when memories have faded and the guilty have passed on. Justice delayed is justice denied.

Is test driving so dangerous that you should be drugged when doing it?

In Ontario, Canada there are two publicly funded school systems, a Roman Catholic and a Public one. To teach in the catholic system you must be a Roman Catholic and have a pastoral letter from the priest in your parish attesting to your good faith. You cannot teach in the RC system without this. If you are a protestant you cannot teach in the RC system. But Roman catholics can teach in the Public system. Thus for a limited number of jobs and for two systems that are of almost the same size, Roman Catholics have twice the number of job opportunities as every one else. The students in the Catholic system can be of any religion and are about fifty percent of the enrollment.
