We hold annual appraisals for staff. Based on performance we award a salary increase. If we feel that someone has not performed well and we have examples of why we think so, a) can we refuse a salary increase? and b) can we make a salary reduction if we feel it is warranted?
If someone left as a result of a) or b) could they claim constructive dismissal?

We have taken a large number of photos at motorshows. We want to use some of these in our promotional material (including our website). Can we use the photos freely? One of our conacts has told us that if we take a photo of a Renault concept car for example, we have to obtain Renault's permission to use it.

We ask employees to use their own cars for company business and we pay a mileage allowance to cover their costs. Generally this means trips to the airport and sometimes trips to our customers' premises for meetings. If they have an accident whilst driving to the airport or a meeting, what responsibility does our company have? Would we have to pay their insurance excess charge for example? If they were bad drivers and had a series of accidents due to their own negligence does that affect our company responsibility? If they get a parking ticket do we have to pay it? Any other implications?
