We are an architectural and project management practice and on the top floor the architects have the radio on but on a very low level. On the first floor, the project managers just have the sound of keyboards and other people's phone calls. We did instigate a "policy" that the radio should only be on between 12 and 2 and then after 5 but nobody upstairs really minds so sometimes its on and sometimes its off.
If I really want to concentrate I bring my ipod in as I do find the right kind of music helps me sometimes, otherwise its just the general office noise.

We have been approached by an employee about introducing childcare vouchers. Having looked at the information I can't see a downside to either employer/ee and wondered if anyone has experience of implementing a scheme and has any words of wisdom.
