Can you advise on the following. Can we alter the hours to give a more flexible cleaning operation; the current hours are 9am start - 2.30pm finish with a 1.5 hour paid break.
The new hours would be 7.30am - 12.30pm with only a 30 min paid break.
Firstly can we change contracts following a consultation with the staff, what is the time scale and would we have to incur redundancy payments if some staff decided to leave.

I am looking into outsourcing our cleaning of the School and boarding houses to a outside cleaning contractor, the school has 12 cleaners on the pay role.
I understand the cleaners will be transfered accross under TUPE - is this okay to do, how much notice of our plans etc.
Some of the cleaners have joined the pension scheme. Will the new company be responisble for this, and any problems which could occur?
