We're a casino company and employ approximately 1450 people. During the last recorded 12 month period we have had 242 reported accidents - the vast majority of them minor. There were 6 RIDDOR reportable accidents.
The Board of Directors looked at the raw data and thought that 242 accidents was a high number.
I didn't think so. In simple terms it means that 1 in 6 employees had some form of accident during a 12 month period be it a cut finger, a slip or whatever. I thought it also indicated that ALL accidents are being reported pretty diligently.
Has anyone else got any similar data I can make a comparison with?
Thanks

Hello,
We are considering the replacement of an interior lift in one of our casino's. It is a grade2* listed building and the existing lift is fairly small. The lift shaft can't be increased in size.
We want to extend the lift up a floor and also want the ability to carry disabled passengers. This is currently difficult.
Are there minimum lift floor space dimensions for a lift in respect of wheelchair access? Do you know what they are?
Thanks
Rob Winfield
