Hi Carole,
thank you for the above post. I have gone around in circles trying to find a solicitor who will be able to deal with the many facets of this issue.
I will keep trying. Thank you also for the Equality link. i`ll get to it and keep you posted.

Alan,
Thank you for your comments here. As James has picked up, i have no income at the moment to deal with the `stalker/ slanderer`and her close friends on the committee . I have been to the CAB for advice regarding free employment law advice, alas not very helpful..

James, i did get straight onto the union, as yet no response from them regarding the latest turn of events and an appeal....bless them....
I`m sure a `strong letter` on an official letter-head would shake these people up? especially if people funding this charity, conducting themselves in such a way, were `potentially` informed ?
I could do with a solicitor able to tackle the multi faceted issues that have now occurred?..
Thanks again for your comments guys

James, thank you for your comments. I`ve just collected a `registered` letter from the post office in town to find that `they` have now dismissed me!! They state that as i have not responded quickly enough to their allegations, via the union, they gave me a few days!! They are also aware that there is an outstanding `procedures` regarding my complaint of bullying…where do I stand with that now? The meeting was to be arranged for next week.
The last contract I was given was from April 2006 to March 2007. The external funding for my role expired March 2009. My SSP ran out in October 2008 when they sent my sick note back with what I assumed was no further responsibility to me, I went ahead and found alternative employment. That was of course until the `bully` found out where I was working and slandered me……she has done this to three employers since March. I have enough money to pay the mortgage this month for July and then need a miracle….. HELP!!
Debbie

Hi guys,
It all seems a bit complicated now..
I have attended their `disciplinary meeting` and have an opportunity to respond..
They will decide what to do from there.....

Hi guys and girls,
The policeman i spoke to said they have `specific` guidelines for harassment issues and the bully does not fall into their criteria?
I have no idea how this `stalker` is finding out my employment details...she is obviously in the wrong job?? she is being paid £35 / hour as a manager of a charity organisation to stalk and slander me?? I wonder what the sponsors would think about their funding being used in such a way by a `Women`s Aid` organastion whose ethos is to protect women and children !!!!
A good point about new managers believing `her`...i was with one employer six months before her slandering phone call, the manager even priasedmy professionalism and gave me a reference leading me to employment elsewhere...??!!
I am struggling to find appropriate legal advice that i can afford even through the CAB...
The organisation refused the involvement of ACAS and any outsiders as they wouldn`t want the publicity....
I have tried to ger the union to work better on my behalf ,alas the rep. just wants an easy life and says to resign....at each issue, the organisation are trying to discredit me rather than allow me to resign....

Many thanks for the advice above. I`m still being `stalked` by this bully...she has phoned another employer and had me dismissed!! three times since March...
She is demanding i attend a disciplinary meeting today at 4.30 to dismiss me for not wanting to work for her anymore...She has refused to accept a resignation....
Home insurance offers telephone advice but no funds to employ solicitor. Local solicitor is looking for £350 plus VAT just to have a look at my file...
I would need a solicitor with a heafty set of b.... to cope with this character..lol

Hi Mike, good point, though proving what she is telling people via phone calls would not be easy as employers are aware of the Data Protection Act?? My MP is trying to get such an employer to state what she said to him to cause him to dismiss me...he`s refusing to play ball..........bless him.......It`s such a small organisation they don`t have an HR........so the manager does whatever she likes..

Hi Jane, thank you for you comment. I relied on my union rep. to assist me through the companies grievence proceedure and after two years still no further forward!!!!
Is it now too late for me to address it via ET?
Nigel and James, thank you also. Alas a solicitor would be expensive. I have had so little income due to this bully these past two years...i`ve no resources left. Which is why i `thought` subscribing to a union for over 20 years would be a wise option.........??
My local MP has written to `them` for a reference for me, alas `they` are giving him the run-around also. I have an appointment this afternoon with the police regarding `her` slandering phone calls. I also have an appointment with the CAB who will probably suggest a solicitor?
Can anyone think of anything else i can be doing?
Greatful thanks for all advice and support........
Debbie

Just to clarify please........if you `wiser guys and girls ` could ...
I was contracted as a part time trainer from October 2005 to April 2006, (to be revue pending outside sponsorship). An SLA was agreed with a local housing authority ; outside the organisation, for me to develop and deliver a project ; which ended April 2009. Due to the stress and depression from the `bullying` i went on sick leave. SSP ran out in October last year. Rather than lose my home i found alternative work. The `bully` was approached re ref. but she refused, as she has with others that have left because of her... `She` now is `Black-balling` me to employers saying i still work for her and should be `dismissed` for gross misconduct. Can she do this?? .......(it is common knowledge that as a part time worker , 16 hours, i have also worked else where throughout employment with them)....I know `she` is trying to `shift the blame` form my complaint about her, and rescind on a settlement….. Do I still need to officially `resign`? ? Can I by-pass the union, who have been useless and deal with the organisation myself? ? If so , how??.. I cannot not finding any categories in the ET info. regarding bullying and harassment….

I feel for you Amanda,
and agree.......why should employers get away with this bully culture??
I`m at the end of the road with my work place, and feel my only option is to resign...allowing the boss to get away with it AGAIN!! Do i lose my rights of re-dress if i resign??

My MP has written to `her` to ask why she refuses to write references and to a local company who dismissed me after a phone-call from `her` slandering me.. No response as yet though....

Why oh why does this society ignore what is becoming obvious to me a `common` problem........Employers can do anything they please knowing that for the most part they can get away with it....esp. if you have been employed less than a year.........What can we do about it ? How do we stand up for ourselves without being `targeted` as `trouble-makers` .......as several local employers now think i am.....even though as a nurse i can be struck-off the NMC register for abusing or `neglecting` issues ......between a rock and a hard place!!
lets all join forces and do something about it??

Hi Nigel,
I`m sure Mother Shipton would have warned me if i had popped into her cave and asked her?? Hindsight??Lol
This woman is trying various nasty `tac-tics` to `side step ` from the original issue...including threatening to dismiss me for `gross misconduct`
I suspect the board are fully aware of her `tac-tics` and still support her.......
Interesting point about the police, i didn`t think about that......i will also try the CAB. Alas a solicitor would be costly and i was hoping the union would have the ..... know-how to deal with such things.......After-all, i`m sure workplace harassment is common place these days?? .......She refuses to write references generally.......i have approached my local MP regarding this matter who suggested he write to her to obtain a reference for me, as yet i have heard nothing since....The media would also be an idea as the organisation are sponsored by local and national funding. The gazette often run advertising campaigns for them........
I wonder how many other employees feel frustrated with their union??

Help! i`m not sure where to turn; i`ve never used a `forum` before but all other avenues i`ve tried have been to no avail for advice and support. I tired of struggling against apathy regarding workplace bullying and harassment. I`ve been working for a small charity organisation in Blackpool whose ethos is to support women and children in domestic abuse situations. They employed a manager, they have had several in the last few years, to `sort the service out`!! After she bullied and harassed several of my colleagues into leaving it was my turn to be targeted. I enlisted the RCN to support me , alas they have been ineffectual......(even though i`ve subscribed to them for over 20 years!!) The Charities commission have been apathetic also. No-one in the workplace will admit to her behaviour for fear of losing their job. Though i do have statements from other people from her previous workplace who have suffered from her behaviour...Their complaints procedure is woeful as there are so few on the management committee, who are `close friends` with this person and of course support her, without question....ACAS was suggested but they refused any outside involvement. The woman is now slandering me to potential employers, since my contract ended this financial year i`ve been looking for alternative employment.....and have been dismissed from two jobs following phone calls from her.......(nothing in writing of course!!) How do i move on when future employers insist on reference from last manager? and believe her slander even when aware of my professionalism in their workplace........!!
