Hi.
I changed my bank details and passed them onto the company. I gave them 10 digits for the account number as I was not sure which part they needed.
They took the last two numbers, instead of the first two and have paid the wrong account with my wages. I faxed a written copy of my bank details on Friday (the day we were paid) and my team leader at work has already them yesterday and today.
They have not replied to him, so my team leader says he will call them tomorrow, but I cannot complain as it is my fault for giving incorrect details and that I have to wait until they sort it, by receiving money paid into wrong bank back to the company, so they can pay me.
Is there a particular period of time they have to take for this and also is it definitely my fault? I am assuming it is because it is my responsibility to check I give the correct details?
