The company I work for announced a reorganisation and potential redundancies on 29th February 2008. I was told my role was at risk on that date. My first consultation meeting was on 18th March 2008, 2nd meeting 31st March and I have my 3rd and final meeting on 14th April. Can someone confirm to me when the "consultation" process begins and therefore how to calculate if the company have consulted appropriately and within the guidlelines for timelines. There are over 20 people affected and we had to instruct the company that they needed to consult collectively as this procedure was not forthcoming. Also, are there guidelines as to the wording that should be used prior to identifying those who are to be made redundant as all of us were told our roles were at risk at first stage and then this was amended to "potentially affected" in subsequent meetings and correspondence.
