Hello Kate,
If you are an IOSH member or subscriber to the Safety & Health Practitioner magazine, you'll see that in the August issue - due out at the end of next week - we have a feature article on what employers/duty-holders need to think about with regard to sending employees abroad/employees already working abroad/employees who have to travel a lot as part of their work. The article also contains plenty of references to other sources of information on this subject.
