The pre-registration date for these regulations is nearly upon us. Our business is mainly financial with the highest risk coming from our contractors involved in the management of our buildings.
How can I find a definitive list that lets me know if I am required to do anything under these regulations or not, as I am finding the guidance to be a bit vague!!
Many thanks
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
I'm not sure what guidance you have already looked over, but there are a few places you can find out about your responsibilities. There doesn't appear to be a 'definitive list' as such, but the following should help you establish your responsibilities:
- The European Chemicals Agency has produced an online 'Navigator', via which you can establish your responsibilities in relation to the specific chemicals your business deals with.
- The European Chemicals Agency document 'Guidance on registration' contains substantial information on who has duties - you can download it as a pdf here:
http://reach.jrc.it/docs/guidance_document/registration_en.pdf
- The 'Reach Ready' website has details of who REACH applies to: http://www.reachready.co.uk/faqs_free.php#to
- The HSE website includes the section 'what is your role in REACH?' http://www.hse.gov.uk/reach/role.htm
I hope the above will be of use. If you are still unclear, then please get back in touch.
