Typical, avoid the causes and focus on the symptoms of stress founded in an increasingly tick-box driven target orientated 'key performance indicators' where poor management (equally stressed) HAVE to achieve token 'outcomes' regardless of real impact. Have they forgotten the 20 year study on Civil Service where the level of perceived "Justice at Work" resulted in significant increase in heart attacks in those who feel they have been treated unjustly. Surely if more than fifty percent of employees are reporting having been the subject of or witnessed bullying in the last six months "culture" or interpersonal skills is the problem not the stress related symptoms where fight or flight is the "foreseeable risk" that needs reasonably "practicable mitigation" under Health & Safety regulation at work. Naa silly me i should just be more compliant and suck it up until i get ill, burn out and leave before i see a lawyer.
