I remember at the time this story broke, that Thomas Cook vigorously denied any wrong doing in terms of maintenance etc. Why shouldn't individuals stand trial for the deaths of two innocent children? If they have nothing to hide, then they have nothing to fear? Travel companies must be held responsible for all the properties they use and sell to us as holiday makers. What started as a normal school holiday break turned into a life sentence for the parents and someone must be culpable.

Sounds to me like the Greek authorities are attempting to apportion blame to all relevant individuals . Its not just Thomas Cooks employees bing implicated here but also the hotel management and outside maintenance contractors.
Im sure the company are shocked and deeply concerned but is this another case of profit before safety?

Anyone know whether Greece has vicarious liability legislation similar to ours? Would be nice to see the company in the dock instead of (or in addition to) the workers.
I hope that the company is paying for their representaton.
