This is great news, but could I ask why at this particular time the RCN has decided not to re-new the contract for the Professional Nursing Advisor, in Occupational health?
It seems an incredible 'own goal' and couldn't have happended at a worse time.

Well said paul !
Joking aside it has been well known for a number of years that being gainfully employed has a positive effect on mental health.
Sometimes makes you wonder though when you witness / read about some of the unhappy situations employers and employees find themselves in.

I agree Anne, but you don’t need to work, as long as you have interests and activities to occupy yourselves with you’ll keep your mind and body healthy. The trouble is most people don’t.

Employers like employees to be under their thumb and work like a clone for them even if they dont admit this is true clearly reflected in their actions against every individual employees who report sick at work due to some health reasons - but on the other hand some employees take advantage of the system for example local General Practitioner help where they can easily obtain sick note - to avoid any further economic crisis after IRAQ WAR the goverment should concentrate on introducing a system and make the culture of obtaining sick note from the local General Practitioner little bit strict.
