Using a CO2 extinguisher on live electrical appliances can cause electric shock. I am aware of two incidents where the freezing of the atmosphere infront of the extinguisher has allowed the operator to be "hit by a bolt" as the electricity uses the frozen moisture as a conductor. Please be aware the best course of action is to Raise the alarm, evacuate and call the fire brigade. Only attempt to extinguish the fire yourself if you are fully competent with the extinguisher use, and you can escape safely if the fire escolates quickly.
