If strike action is called at a place of work can management stop non union members or members of a union that is not involved in the action from taking holidays on the day of industrial action?

Subject to the employment contract and notice, management can insist that employees do not take holiday on a specific day, or that they _do_ take holiday on specific days.
There are however circumstances where a (non-striking) employee can refuse to enter a workplace, something to do with the threat of violence for crossing a picket line I believe.
