HIV also a precurser to something that maybe take some considerable time to turn into full blown AID's so does that mean pleural plaques are natural and not a precurser to something quite nasty and should not be assumed to increase risk of significant harm and premature death?
Chicken and egg or what do they mean ?
Is there an exclusion to any statute of limitations regarding when one maybe out of time to make a claim or does one have to be pushing up daisies first like so many who are no longer around to make a claim.........
Does the individual not worry or become stressed waiting for the condition to develop and in either case not sure feel too worried by insurance companies stressing out over whether or not might have to settle a claim when someone waiting to find out if and when they are likely going to die.
It is supposed to come as an innocent surprise unlike being told in advance that you could sometime end up with a dred disease lingering in discomfort for who knows how long - whoopeeee.
Thats what actuaries are for, the bean counters assessing risk and making calculations for the company to mitigate premiums sufficient for purpose.
Thought the law contained this wonderful phrase " foreseeable " consequences and what would the ' reasonable man ' think let alone the obnoxious-miserable-mardy-by-stander ?

As an asbestos removal operative for 28 years I do worry about the risks I have been exposed to with regard to asbestos exposure. I do feel if someone is told they have pleural plaques then they should be compensated an agreed set sliding scale rate of compensation. However it is my strong view that it is the government that must bear this cost as it was the government that allowed the use of Asbestos in this country in the first place. It must not be allowed to become another cash cow for the insurance claims companies. Because this cost will past onto the Asbestos removal companies that are now removing the asbestos and in effect paying premiums that are vastly over priced already to cover the claims being made now by others out of the Asbestos removal industry.
