Hi
I guess the test will be what is "reasonably practicable" to not return to the exact job. Has anyone been involved in this decision making process? If so I would be grateful for examples; I am currently supporting a Snr Mgr in this process and already feeling the effects of 'resistance' to the legislation.
Many thanks.

I suspect that some employers only take the women back because they have to.
It is costly to have someone out on sick leave but thats why we have anti discriminatory laws now.... to protect .
Knowing that someone is pregnant and will be going on mat leave gives the employer plenty of time to arrange cover etc but some still leave posts unfilled for as long as possible and expect other staff to take over and thus create disharmony when it can all be avoided with careful planning.
