There are to many companies out there flouting the law and l say good luck to the HSE its long overdue that they enforce the regulations properly.
Its about time that the HSE try to educate people about Asbestos so better late than never, lets wait and see how high profile it is and if it will be a national campaign or a few pages in some obscure publication.
I'll be watching!!!!

I agree Kenneth, But its's not only Asbestos
I would like to think the HSE and other public bodies (such as the Environment Agency in this case) are going to keep this up across the broad spectrum of H&S regs,
But the truth of the matter is that despite high profile cases such as this, a lot of infringements go unnoticed or unreported, or no action is taken, or even if action is taken, the award is small.
This fine is good for PR, nothing more.
