I think the next step will be to have access card readers placed on loo doors so that both empoyees and employers can be monitored as to the number of times they use the loos. Maybe Tesco is looking to pass on the cost of water used to flush and wash. What ever next. Use of showers maybe.

I remember a friend of mine that worked for a very well known insurance company, and she had to have a card plugged into her desk whilst she was sitting there, and as soon as she got up to go anywhere it was unplugged and her working hours stopped at that point.
Needless to say that they soon realised that it was better to leave the card in the desk whilst away from it, but if you were caught away from your desk by the Supervisor and the card was still in it they were given a verbal warning.
Clocking in and out is out dated now, and now it should be on trust. But as with everything else these days certain people abuse the systems in place and ruin it for the rest. Why this particular companys employees agreed to this I will never know, if the same rule was applied to Smokers in London they would be earning about £2.50 a week!
