We will shortly be running an item in Workplace Law Magazine looking at agency workers - in particular the costs of using them and whether current and proposed legislation is likely to make them more or less attractive in the current economic climate.
If you have any views or in particular experiences (good or bad) of using agency workers - or if you are one yourself - please register your interest here and we will contact you to discuss. Or alternatively, feel free to write your comments in the forum.
Thanks.

David S,
I'd be happy to assist/contribute, particularly from a tax perspective. You may find my piece here useful (though do appreciate this was written before the Court of Appeal decision in James):

Also this piece about the Dragonfly case:

Feel free to contact me by email if you wish.

Thanks James. It will most likely be Wpl Magazine Editor Claire Fuller who is in touch in the first instance ...
Thanks to other volunteers too. Should be an interesting subject, given the slightly wider debate that is affecting facilities maangement since the Scottish Parliament decided to pull back from outsourcing hygiene services in the NHS in its attempt to fight MRSA.
The benefits of an employer using agency workers - flexibility, breadth of experience and expertise, and potential cost reduction - are all coming under challenge in the current economic and regulatory climate!
