We are seeing here, are we not, the introduction of the 11 week contract? I see this as a retrograde step towards the 'tail wags dog' situation of many years ago, which made UK uncompetitve in world market terms.
However, as we now have very little world class manufacturing, perhaps it just doesn't matter.
