Annual support contract

Annual support contract

Successful management of  the environmental impacts of your business is important in terms of mitigating legal risk, minimising costs and grasping opportunity for continual improvement.

Environmental management is regulated significantly, with a plethora of European Directives and national regulations governing everything from energy efficiency and carbon output through to packaging, waste management and pollution.  Failure to comply can lead to costly fines, damaging publicity and potentially even sanctions against individual officers.

Regulation is only one driver. Resource efficiency brings commercial benefits in their own right: savings on energy and other resource costs, reductions in quantities of waste generated and, hence, disposal costs leading to improvement in competitiveness.  For many organisations, environmental performance may play a key part in their ability to win business through the supply chain, or in the way they would like to be perceived in the market or by other stakeholders.

You can’t be expected to be an expert in all these disciplines.

Workplace Law can help, because managing and improving the environmental performance of our clients is our core business.

The Workplace Law environmental support contract provides you with total support, 365 days of the year. Since every organisation is unique, so is our support contract – tailored to meet the specific needs of your business, your people, and the sector you operate in.

The level of support can be designed to either assist your environmental team, or act as your trusted advisor on any aspects of sustainability, resource efficiency or environmental compliance. We offer sensible, pragmatic advice concentrating on practical action to control significant risks – not over-responding to trivial issues.  We can help drive continual environmental improvement in your organisation to help you reduce risk, cut costs and increase marketability.

What the annual support contract includes:

  • Unlimited telephone and email support on environmental issues.
  • Unlimited online support for confidential and/or public questions.
  • Initial environmental compliance audit, which includes a review of your organisation’s environmental policies and documentation.
  • Management assistance: where necessary, attendance at Sustainability / Environmental Committee meetings, including ongoing monitoring and assisting with any day-to-day environmental issues.
  • Unlimited access to www.workplacelaw.net
  • Subscription to Workplace Law Magazine.
  • Three free copies of the annual Workplace Law Handbook.
  • Saving of 10% on all goods and services from Workplace Law.

Why choose Workplace Law?

We are an independent company whose strategy is to develop successful long-term relationships with our clients. We can only do this by working in partnership with you and meeting your individual needs.

Our intent is to enable you to make decisions that are right, by offering pragmatic and legally compliant solutions that are aligned with your objectives and based on your policies and procedures.

We offer an account-managed service that gives you unlimited access to the dedicated practitioners in our team. By working with them on an ongoing basis, we can respond quicker and provide more consistent advice than organisations that offer a ‘call centre’.

We believe that cultural change is vital to the acceptance of environmental management within your organisation, and our aim is to help you drive it from the top.

Everything we do for clients is bespoke: while we operate to recognised environmental principles and practices, we work to support our clients, rather than imposing a fixed solution on them.

Our information and advice service won national recognition from the esteemed Periodical Publishers Association as the Best Business Subscription Website in 2008. We are approved by the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) to train Foundation and Associate certificate level courses in environmental management, and won the Silver award for best online distance learning programme at the 2011 E-Learning Age Awards for our IEMA Foundation course.

Our environmental consultants are qualified to IEMA Associate level (as a minimum) and are experienced trainers, consultants and practitioners. Our quality assurance process and CPD programmes ensure high standards with regard both to technical knowledge and levels of customer service.

Personal service

Unlike our competitors, we don’t impose a standard system on you. We work with you to produce an environmental management system that is appropriate to your business, rather than making you use ours. And, wherever possible, you will speak to the same technical account manager every time. The result: less confusion, less clutter, and better buy-in.

Very competitive rates

Because our environmental support contract is tailored specifically for your business, we don’t charge you for what you don’t want. Our rates are transparent and offer great value – we specify the service level agreement with you, and deliver against it. You can also save 10% on additional environmental management services, including IEMA approved training.

Testimonials

I really want to thank Workplace Law for the fantastic work you have done on our highly complex project. I know it was not easy to gather all the sensitive information from so many people. Myself and the MD have read the report and are both delighted with the clear and easy to understand way the whole report is laid out. The recommendations were spot on and it certainly helped clarify the issues. I am sure we will be calling on your services again. Thank you.
