Contractor in the dock over worker safety

A roadside accident that resulted in the severe injury of a worker has once again highlighted the importance of ensuring contractors adopt safe working practices.

Graham Yule was hit by a taxi cab whilst painting ‘keep clear’ lines in a bus lane in West London. Yule, who was working for Central Linemarkings at the time, lost the use of an arm and required substantial face reconstruction surgery.
