A biscuit factory worker fired after turning up for work red-eyed and allegedly smelling of alcohol the day after the funeral of his girlfriend's father has lost his unfair dismissal claim.
Iain Waters, 40, was a warehouse operative at United Biscuits McVities factory in Glasgow.
He told the Tribunal that he had consumed six to eight small bottles of beer between 4pm and midnight on the day of the funeral and then had not slept well, making him late for work.
