A woman has been awarded £7,000 in compensation after Manchester County Court ruled that she had been discriminated against at Trafford Council.
Dr Pauleen Lane, a former mayor, took the council to court after she was prevented from breastfeeding while using a civic car, the BBC reports.
Instead, Dr Lane had to drive behind in her own car when attending public engagements with her baby. She took action, claiming she had been treated unfairly due to her sex.
