Last week, the HSE announced that work-related deaths had reached a five-year high in 2006. Even with a seemingly large amount of deaths, the UK has some of the safest working conditions in the world with only 241 work-related deaths last year.
However, there are approximately 4,000 deaths caused by accidents at home every year, and nearly three million accidents occur as a result of home and leisure activities.
